Ben Folds - The Best Imitation of Myself: Greatest Hits Album | Perfect for Road Trips, Relaxation & Music Lovers

It is a good book but could be better.Note: I do not have PRIME since Amazon.com does NOT stand behind their BS mark-up service and have become WORSE since they started pushing it so much at delivering non PRIME items.I bought this hoping that it had some easier transcribed songs or several parts to the song which could be learned in steps but it doesn't. It throws everything at you and some of the arrangements are quite complicated.I also think since transcribed pieces are so widely available online this would have had better fingering or note instructions as a plus, but it is just standard sheet music so 4 stars.Book is solid, haven't lost any pages or seen any deficiencies in print. Print size is okay tending to the small size and binding is a bit tight at first.Love this book. It's the true piano music with vocals, not just playing the melody with your right hand. I wish I was as talented as Mr. Folds though...Fantastic transposition of his songs. I have never been more pleased with a songbook.Kind of funny - I happened to meet Ben after a show earlier in the year, and told him how many countless hours I'd spent sitting at the piano to play his songs by ear - - - He must have thought I was an idiot for not having ordered this book.Love the detail in the transposition!Again, Ben's arrangements are so good that you sound like you are actually playing the song as Ben plays it - although no one can really play those octaves like he can, right? The arrangements are difficult enough for me that I need to work on each song for a few weeks, which is what I wanted.Arrived on time.Great song list. The book has both the chords and notation which is nice if I want to simplify the music to play on the spot. Would definitley reccomend this book for both expirienced pianists as well as moderate/players able to play most chords or learning to.Thus far, the sheet music has matched quite well with what I hear in the album, which makes it much easier for learning the pieces. One of the things I appreciate the most about this book is that it is truly a representation of what is played as the accompaniment. I found many versions of sheet music for several of the pieces included that either had obvious variations or including the sung melody as part of what is played.This book has provided a great source of material at varying levels of difficulty to help me really grow from my roots in classical music.I wish I could do an imitation of Ben Folds. The dude is the rock Mozart of our day. This sheet music is great.Some of the best Ben Folds songs are in this book. It's very fun to play and really enjoyable. I think everything you hear on the CD is exactly how it's written in the book. Great set of arrangements!
