The authors present the most succinct and biblical presentation of spiritual gifts I have ever found. Their thesis is that the "gift" of the Holy Spirit is the Holy Spirit himself. The various manifestations of what are often viewed as spiritual gifts are simply the products of the Holy Spirit's work through the life of a believer who is serving God in harmony with His will. The authors argue that spiritual gift inventories are unreliable. They insist that there is no spiritual gift in the life of any person who has not yielded his/her life to God. The book contains seven short chapters, can be read in one sitting, and can change expectations about what God can do in the lives of committed believes.
