I had always heard that Canton-pop was pretty lousy, cheesy stuff, but I thought I'd give this album a go anyway.What a shock!Yes, the tracks are for the most part very sentimental and occasionally cheesy, but the tunes are wonderful, the variety on offer is quite astounding, and THAT VOICE!!!Jacky Cheung has one of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard. No matter that I don't speak Cantonese and can't understand what he's saying - or even what the titles of the song are - he's simply wonderful. So if you're in the need of something unashamedly sentimental, undemanding and beautiful, you should certainly give this a look.It may not be revolutionary or ground-breaking, but it's brilliant anyway!
